Smuggler Racing Team
Swedish, Nordic and European champions
Smuggler Racing Team is made up of two teams, offshore 3A and 3B. We have two boats in action: a girls’ team, A-73, and a second crew running in offshore 3B, B-32.
Offshore 3
Offshore 3A and 3B are offshore racing categories governed by the UIM (Union Internationale Motonautique). Both are raced with boats of 115 horsepower.
Offshore 3A
- Monohulls only
- Hull length between 5.75 and 7 metres
- Maximum beam of 1.95 metres
Offshore 3B
- A mix of catamarans and monohulls
- No beam restriction
In both classes the boats must run “green” 115-horsepower engines. The engines must be 100% stock and may not be modified.

World Championship bronze for B-32 in Arendal, 2024
The World Championship in Arendal ended with third place for B-32 and twelfth for A-73. Saturday’s race was tight but thrilling, over sixteen laps.
B-32 raced the season’s new boat, which performed beyond expectations despite limited time on the water. The competition was fierce and they had to fight to hold position, but a strong drive secured a podium.
A-73, who normally race in 3A, entered their monohull in the B class against catamarans. Catamarans in 3B are normally faster than monohulls in 3A, but the team gave them a hard fight. It proved that the Smuggler RS can race effectively in more than one class.
At the next World Championship we are going for gold.
