We own the original moulds and build every Smuggler from scratch in Norrtälje. Alongside new builds we run a workshop for GRP and engine repairs, winter storage and spare parts.

Our history
We own the moulds — no replicas
Smugglerbåtar AB began trading in 2001 by acquiring the old moulds. It took until 2003 before all the agreements had been negotiated and signed, after which the moulds were transported home to our own premises.
Our aim is the craft, not the volume. Every boat is built by hand to order, at the pace we can do it properly.

Sailing boats — what we can and can't do
We do not handle sailing boats as a rule. With your own trailer or cradle we can haul out and store over winter — but we have no sailing-boat trailers and we do not take boats in by crane.

Our area
We take in boats from across Roslagen
The workshop and storage site are in Norrtälje municipality, with Nenninge on Rådmansö as the new base. We take in boats from Gräddö, Lågarö, Södersvik, Hattsundet and Kråkvikens gård — and from Norrtälje and the surrounding area.
A short run to the launching ramp makes haul-out and launching straightforward wherever in the archipelago the boat lies. We collect and deliver by trailer.

Sailing boats are the exception: we have no sailing-boat trailers and we do not take boats in by crane. If you have your own trailer or cradle, or can arrange the transport and the lift yourself, we have space — read what applies.
